  • Short-Barreled Shotguns (SBSs): Shotguns with a barrel length less than 18 inches or an overall length less than 26 inches.

  • Machine Guns: Firearms that can fire multiple rounds with a single trigger pull.

  • Destructive Devices: Certain types of firearms, explosives, and other devices.

2. Purchasing NFA Items:

• All NFA items must be registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

• Purchase of NFA items requires completion of ATF Form 4 or ATF Form 1, depending on the transaction type.

• NFA items can only be transferred to individuals who meet federal, state, and local requirements.

3. Transferring NFA Items:

• Transfers of NFA items must be facilitated through a licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer.
